For years I had health problems for which doctors could not find the cause. I discovered that my symptoms disappeared when I stopped using dairy products and they returned whenever I drank milk.

I became excited about my new "health discovery." I worked closely with a food scientist to develop a completely lactose-free beverage, since I did not like the taste or the ingredients of the milk alternatives that were then available. My new family business started selling SNO*E™ TOFU directly to consumers through a Direct Mail Shopping Service in 1986.

Many of our consumers began requesting a premium, non-dairy beverage that would be fat-free and gluten-free, and which could be tolerated by almost everyone. We collaborated with some of the top food scientists and preventative medicine doctors in the United States. After years of research and effort, we had a breakthrough. The new beverage, DariFree™, is now widely used by people with food intolerances, sensitivities and allergies, including children with autism.

As the market grew, we created A&A Amazing Foods, Inc. to distribute the two milk alternatives nationally and internationally through commercial accounts. In 1999, we added further to our quality line of beverages by introducing SNO*E™ Lite.

Our expansion continues with a number of exciting developments. In the spring of 2000, we established Vance's Foods, Inc., which consolidates the two businesses through which we manufacture and distribute to commercial accounts, and make our line of products available to consumers who cannot find a convenient source of supply. We have upgraded our on-line presence -- this website now includes a simple, user-friendly shopping cart order system. We have made significant improvements in our package design, and we have developed and introduced another new product, DariFree™ Chocolate.
